It was brought up that HT Archon should maybe not be able to mind-control elites, for the same reason that it can't mind-control heroes. Being able to run the elites into your own army is very different than using the enemy's mind-controlled units to attack them.

Additionally, this would fix a bug where mind-controlling a medivac gives permanent possession of everything inside the medivac (including heroes, which is pretty game-breaking).

Personally, I think this is a change that should be made, although I won't do it without community approval. Voice your opinions!

Can DA VP HERO/ELITES? can queen root both also? Can nix lift both? I don't see why hta should be countered by elites. Making mc elites not be controllable is an option tho. Hero's are already immune, let's not make elites also.

Being able to mind control elites is really op imo.. Reason: not very hard to land mind control on elites.. one hit and you can move them into your army, guaranteeing kills lolwot? Once hta appears it puts most elites out of comission and i dont think they should all instantly die after one mind control
My suggestion is to allow them to be mind controlled, but not able to be controlled while mc'ed.
This way they won't be completely immune to it like heroes are, but they are not affected to the same degree as regular units are. You still could mass recall em back to your base tho ;(

Hmmmm, I don't think they should be mind controllable but it should have some effect on them for sure, maybe make it so they are stunned for a long period of time or something, can't make 1 ultimate hero be countered by a whole branch of units, would be pretty fucked.

Ok, after talking to people and reading responses, I would like to update my proposal:

1. Elites cannot be mind-controlled (this means mind controlled units in the area will automatically attack the non-mind-controlled elites). This is actually better against elites than letting them be mind-controlled but uncontrollable.

2. Remove damage and speed bonuses from mind control (not something I added, should have probably removed it to begin with.)

3. Mind-controlled units can still use abilities.

Agreed. MC recalling elites into base is hilarious as well, but pretty game breaking.
