Voidray is so strong right now, It makes any other air look bad in comparison. The health scaling being the main reason that the unit is so strong. Luckily there are a couple solutions I can think of on the spot that could make it more balanced.

My first solution would be to make voidray start with less health, this would make it so that voidray is not as strong as it is when it first comes out with just the training ups. It would also make it a little weaker in the mid game but ultimately late mid game/late game would stay the same strength.

My second solution would be to reduce the health scaling, I think that this is what makes the voidray so much better than any other air currently.

Lastly I know that voidray is also very good because of several other reasons one being the vulture in medi speed boost (something you cannot do for scouts or muta because the medi is not fast enough to stay with that air) and another being the hero dmg + nix making it able to engage odin with ease.

+1 ... lower base health and reduce health scaling and it'll stop being VoidRay Arena (open roach --> get VRs FTW is how most games go now).

Voids do have more HP and better HP scaling than the other air mercs, so I think reducing that could work.

Something that Pocky pointed out is that all the other air-to-air weapons are projectiles, which makes them overkill more than voidrays. Maybe reducing the voidray's air-to-air damage could be another option.

Hey man spec requires more micro than voids if you play it like I do, as for merc rines we should look into it.

+1 about reducing the scaling for hp and possibly even a slight decrease in starting hp

I know void has op hp but it still need alot of split actions to engage most of units well = alot of micro required for this, since you can't split air units with 1 or 2 clicks.
Air units with no split? gg
i would say play voids need more micro that spec does

While I agree with you in general for Air, I totally disagree with you about VRs in their current state.

The exact reason we're talking about a nerf is that their beefy stats have negated the need to micro them - even a little. The health scaling means that at equal bounty the VRs will mow through pretty much any army while losing only a fraction of the units the other army lost. If the VR player has a bounty lead and has done health ups properly, then they'll rampage across the entire board pretty much without consequence. The unit is OP and needs a nerf.

I don't remember which scrim it was, but i remember comparing a max dt with mutas and max dt with voids stats and the voids had higher dmg and hp even though there were similar bounties.

I'm not sure if glaive makes mutas edge out the large dmg difference, but with every engagement, the voids just ate up every muta.

For muta vs voidray, you can kite due to the projectile+glaive+damage bonuses. You should be getting 1-2 kills with each hit while they get none (assuming similar bounties).

Sorry, it's my finals week right now - been super busy lately with end-of-semester projects as well. I should have time to work on a patch after finals are over.

That being said, I would appreciate it if you asked nicely in the future :)

If you have any suggestions regarding specific changes, that would be better than just saying "the game is seriusly fuck up".

If you can't kill voids with maxed odin
you should think about how you play odin

Okay, perhaps next time hit <snooze> when you want to respond if you're going to respond like this.

Akash, appreciate your work very much. I think the two things the community agrees that should be addressed are Roach open and VoidRay's health (open and scaling).

Otherwise I think we're in a decent spot overall.

I know Void is quite op compared to other airs and probably only good choice in game for air because of hp and damage scale against hero
but what i mean is there are many counters you can do against voids.
Void is not overpowering against all units

Nerf spec, Odin, and vr. Mostly spec. Actually all spec. Everyone knows it's broken, that's why you see so many every scrim. Needs a heavy nerf.

I think a good way of balancing Odin and making other heros more viable against air is selling the "50% air merc dmg" dmg reduction as an upgrade of say.... 2k minerals.

It'll make the odin more vulnerable initially, but it'll give other heros that dmg decrease buff.

The upgrade should be a substantial price... 2k? 1k?
