Akash, I was able to recreate an exploit using the stasis field on the Oracle today after seeing it in action in a game. The premise is simple enough.. You get an oracle, then start to populate statis fields around your merc compound. Once you have enough cash, you rebuild your merc compound. when that rebuilds, it's supposed to destroy the old compound, but it doesn't. Instead, it doubles them up. Rinse/repeat and you're spawning 5-8 units each second.

Additionally, because of this bug, when you kill someone's CC, that doesn't kill their compound either. You have essentially endless units being spawned rapidly.

Take a look at my replay for a sense of what can be done using this exploit. It works btw, across all kinds of mercs at the same time. In my demo, at the end, I was spawning Gols, Reavers, Tanklings, Destroyers, and Warplots all at the same time.

Going from 0-->550 supply in seconds.

Remove structure tag from stasis and this is fixed.

Gardul don't feel bad about posting this.

You did the right thing to report it here. I imagine 5% of the people that play MA use the forums.

i'll take the blame for this bug spreading so fast... I spammed it every game since thursday night D:

Wow, Remember...I guess you're using the same logic as last time there was a glitch to take advantage of. You're just a good samaritan trying to motivate Akash to fix it, right? You're just contributing to the problem because you're trying to do what's right?

Stasis field temporarily disabled.
Akash will work a long term fix for the exploit.

No im completely at fault here. I have no power to fix this and what i did was only to make it worse.

This should fix it, I think it's just checking for a structure in that area which is why sometimes it doesn't work and will actually do what it is suppose to do and replace the merc compound.
