Exactly, which is why I accepted it into the stats page. Had to watch the replay first. Had said feeder walked into your army and you guys won then I would probably of not accepted it.

Scrim:
Doomforce + Jpxp (d/c)
TisFvckinGuy + Akash
MrStabby + IntoTheAbyss
Microjackson + Natsu

A great example of what can happen when you keep trying, even if your partner leaves. Doomforce was OP this game, flanking everyone and essentially being responsible for 3 CC kills (2 of them being against the leaders in SD).

First recent scrim for Natsu, who pairs well with Micro. They had some great teamwork with the DTA+Queen combo, as well as with lancer+scout.

Stabby and Abyss were in the lead, which unfortunately made them a target going into SD. There was no collusion between T2 and T1, but T2 did take advantage of T1's attacks. Apologies if it felt like a 4v2, it wasn't intentional <3

Spoiler:
TisFvkinGuy + Akash win

If only natsu played more these scrims would be a lot easier to win :)

Scrims have gotten much more competitive since we started doing them. In large part its because people get better playing competitive games.

Take akash for example. Started out rough but had his first scrim win around early October. He's already almost at 10 wins since then.

Updating stats. Well played by all. Gotta be frustrating for stabby and abyss, they've had the gun loaded with sights down range ready to fire and win a scrim but keep not pulling the trigger and getting caught in a sandwich or a hail mary drop.

Haha yeah I stopped scrimming for a while when the meta got stale, took me a while to get back into the groove - scrims are really different from pubs!

This new group is pretty fun to scrim with - you guys try new strats and switch it up all the time, keeps it interesting <3

I still have nightmares of Lumina going ms+mando+sentry, literally every game :S

It is quite frustrating. This is like the third scrim where I've been in the lead, with victory in sight and get 4v2 and end up losing. To play a full hour straight of a boring scrim then to lose because team1 wanted us to lose.

Honestly, the scrims are just not fun for me lately. Walking back and forth for an hour until sudden death then sitting and waiting is not really exciting. Pubs are more action packed and not such a waste of time.

Maybe I need to find a new strat that is fun, but the current meta is slow and boring.

Any suggestions?

I agree t1 was so anoyying most likely the reason me and natsu lost after SD. He flanked us every engagement making us not want to come out of our base towards the end.

Nice. Crushing it.

I'd like to point out that we were short handed for people to scrim with so Archonlord and me drew the short stick and got some newer folk (which both held their own I might add). That being said, archonlord crushing it and joined the 3 win streak cool kid club and also ending SnowJons 3/4 win reign.

3/4 win reign? do you mean winstreak record in scrims?

Lol it doesn’t really matter you could get lucky 3 scrims in a row and just have bad people in your games.

Yeah snowjon had won 3/4 scrims. He was on a hotstreak for a bit.

And yeah stabby I hear ya. I had three games in a row where I was clearly in the lead and come sd I would get all in'd, or double mede dropped, or sandwiched and starved out of resources. It's been rough. Finally did some pub stomping today and was reminded how quick some games can be.

EDIT: Maybe king of the hill would be faster paced. Having SD from the start in a scrim to encourage people from coming out of base instead of just massing and waiting for the opportunity to exploit a bad position with a flank. And it is a scrim so there would be a lot more action and pressure to take center.

Have been 4v2'd/6v2'd/7v1'd, can confirm it sucks :C

The melee strats are probably the most fun strats in MA imo, since they're based on a few key high-risk, high-reward engagements rather than just poking/dancing with your neighbors/mid.

The high-risk part is what sometimes turns people off tho - someone who hasn't practiced melee vs good players will probably lose a lot until they get the hang of it tbh. I probably lost about 30 scrims with melee before winning once (that win was with warps, as you might have guessed :P).

Woah, this is actually pretty smart. There would be a lot more incentive for players to take risks and do things instead of just sit all game long. Is there anyway we could try this out on Akash's test map?

KOTH used to be a game mode in the past (in fact, it was the default at one point).

It led to pretty defensive play though. People would initially try to contest mid/towers, then the game would suddenly end when one team got control of mid and just parked in the choke between mid and their base with tanks, etc.

Problem with KOTH is that once you have mid/towers, you don't have to ever leave those positions to feed.

We could try it out again though, and see how it works in the new meta - maybe replace Normal Mode or something.

Or we could make it for scrims-only by using a trigger, which might be easier for testing - lmk what you guys think.

holding mid could make it so you earn 10% more from every unit you kill perhaps? then you would still be forced to fight others and not just sit in mid

Well there's counters to tanks which aren't utilized enough (diamond backs).

Maybe in conjunction with starting sd, have starting minerals be at 6000-10000. And maybe with that have ultimate heroes non-purchasable for 10 minutes.

This way the base starting point is more even and the scaling isn't as drastic if someone grabs center and holds onto it early.

Not a sermon just a thought. I'd be curious how this would work out.

Edit: also maintain saviors?

in eu we had a bug once that made you start with 5k minerals. this forced a pure army playstyle because going heroes simply takes too much time. was just a one time bug tho
