No surprise t3 won.

Rain, you're crushing it mate. Proven by your scrims teaming with newer scrimmers and seasoned veterans, you come out on top the majority of the time either way.

Just no more rage quits if/when you're losing, haha.

i mean, mando 1 shotting colossus can be a pretty good reason to stay in base dont you think?
i definitely would want to avoid combat with broken OP units as much as possible

except for the fact he countered me with the colo and snipers, yet he would rather run into your marad/ravens. So yeah he was a retard. Just a game tho

Two scrims tonight:

Scrim 1
Team 1: MatPat, Jp
Team 2: LinearTouchan, TheSims
Team 3: bob (aka Rain), Sharks
Team 4: HaydenEliza, Akash
Spoiler:
Team 3 won.

Pretty even game for a while. Team 2 went an all in mede drop and sniped MatPat's cc in SD.
From there it wasn't much of a game.

Fun watching Rain play around with DT+sentry+vulture+mede+blink rines+ravens. Definitely get's the MVP for skillz.

Scrim 2 Setup by Spartacus (good job mate)
Team 1: Spartacus, FtwKidNo0b
Team 2: MatPat, Sharks
Team 3: SomeDouche, JP
Team 4: KillYou, Sassin

Spoiler:
Team 4 won. It was basically a massacre.

FtwKidNo0b gets added to the ragequit list of shame.

Props to Spartacus for staying even after his teammate left. You're a trooper mate.

Stabby, I heard there was a lot of raging later on in sd. I'm sad I missed that part. Stabby showed that snipers are still a valid option, and also showed why tass > hta.

Hayden played well. I don't think I agreed with the switch to templelots though. Hayden definitely beastmoded it a few times with spect though.

I don't recall raging in SD in this game, it might have been around not inviting Ragamuffin to scrim anymore. I think Time thought I was really upset after this game for some reason.

This game was one of the weirdest scrims for me. With Ragamuffin going Colo and literally leaving his army in base all game it was felt like I just could not feed at all. I need to figure out how to handle situations where people never leave the base, sometimes it feels easier to have the enemy hard counter your army so they are not afraid to fight.

Can't stand those games that turn into everyone having 550 supply, just waiting around because that's the best move. Played a scrim like this last night - it was really frustrating, especially since the 2 corners on either side of me repeated their same strats from the previous game. I even acted poorly with my ally as a result of my frustration (sorry Ragamuffin, plz forgive <3).

Was knocked out early in both games, so I don't have the replays.

As a side note, colo is playable vs mando, and even vs queen - see the scrim I just posted for evidence of that :P

I know what you mean. That's why I went tanks and merc snipe with darkness supporting me. The problem was that people came in the base while we are away and we were totally open. I got frustrated cause people just wouldn't engage and just play hit and run. If there is some way to encourage players to come out of their base more often, the Scrims will end sooner and it will be so much more interesting

One big problem is that people are afraid to go cross-map, or even to go into mid - for a valid reason, they don't want to get sandwiched. But, this is also the main reason why cross-feed is a problem.

I wonder if there's some way to offer an incentive for players to cross the map more often.

Or maybe a way to make it easier, like 4 teleporters near the entrances of each base which connect team1 to team3 and team2 to team4. This could open up some crazy tactics as well, with 4-pronged mid surrounds and whatnot lol

Either way, those are pretty drastic measures so idk. Maybe something for a future separate game mode.

Also, KOTH is not an option - the strongest team will just sit in mid, which is almost as bad as just sitting in base.

Few options:
1. Starting center gives 50 mins a min, not much. But enough to keep battles happening

2. Make support towers mass recall to cost 100 energy, and give more energy reg. This way army's can Go away from base. Its in Eu and works.

I was curious so I messed around a bit in the editor. Here's what I came up with, could be interesting:

Image

Of course, that's just for player 1 - could make one for each player.
The image isn't that clear, but it's one-way only (the one in base is entrance, the one in mid is exit).

Akash. Did you ever think of making a triangular map? If this is too hard to develop, even a 4v4 would be better instead of a 2v2v2v2 North vs South.

Akash your image looks like it'll make melee super op
Anyone can just send half their army in through to the other side of middle and get a complete surround very easily no skill required
albeit the location of the exit portal makes it easily susceptible to attacks from all sides

Intentional feeding your cross spawn is gonna be pretty ezpz now too (:

Triangular map has been discussed before, but ultimately the conclusion is that it would take way too much effort to simply make the map, and might drastically change the game in terms of balance. 4v4 used to be a thing, though.
----------
Dunno how OP it would make melee, but it would make them more viable (especially in scrims). Currently melee is forced to catch someone off guard (i.e. flank), but range can hold chokes vs melee and trade vs other ranged easily. I would argue that the way the map is now heavily favors range in all but a few limited circumstances - range never loses to melee unless range isn't paying attention.

And I don't think intent feeding cross will be so easy - at least not any easier than it already is to feed the corners. I'm sure most top players have noticed, but it often happens that teams 1 and 3 are ahead, OR teams 2 and 4 are ahead. Then the other teams are forced to sit in base or risk feeding. I feel like the portals could allow the 2 weaker teams to fight each other and possibly catch back up, which would also help avoid feeding the leaders.

Like you said though, the central location makes it easily visible and attackable from mid. So if you are really ahead and control mid, you can still deny the intent feed, if there is any (thinking about pubs here, not scrims).

Seems like an overall simple solution to the cross-feed problem imo. I'm actually seriously considering adding this to the main map, just to see what happens lol

There would probably be a lot of mad people tho that have never touched melee in their whole MA careers :P

lol I have to disagree with that, have you ever seen lancer vs reaver or temple lots they don’t stand a chance unless there ahead in upgrades by a lot.

For the tunnels if it works anyway like any of the LOTR games they will suck units tend to glitch if grouped incorrectly and also the fact that they sometimes make there own decisions when they come out of them.

Overall I like the idea it just might take a lot of work to perfect I still like my warp prism idea better :P.

Scrim on the bugged patch with non-cost-scaling hero attack ups:
Jpxp + Darkness
blackadhd + Huan
VinoyThomas + sharks
Akash + MicroJackson
Spoiler:
Akash + MicroJackson win

As expected, lots of HK in order to use the bug.

Team 2 with an interesting strat though, took me a while to figure out what exactly they were doing. Interesting way to use the bug with elites :)

I kept track how much the next hero attack would cost and didn't use the bug :P
