I use a few things to stop them.

Notably I think vulture mines are the most useful. Mothership vortex and/or vortex from anti-hero tower are also really useful.

I've found that the anti unit tower isnt as good at stopping drops since the stun only can go once every 10 seconds. Before I could stun a MS or mede's as they rolled in and have my way with them.

What are some other things people use?

An all-in effort usually your last shot at winning. Usually comes in the form of running two medevacs full of units to the persons cc or recalling an army on enemy cc with a mothership.

Changelings are good against drops/motherships aswell. Just leave them spread out at your base and you should be fine.
