 Post subject: Retarded Balance Stuff

One shot killing comando. Queenfestor Stun. Undiying archon, and stuff like that makes this game boring. Oh also the cheaters, at least 1/2 game as a feeding friend cheating around.
Units in general are well balanced. Just heroes are ridiculously unbalanced.

Well in short this game isn't really designed for you win with just an army. Every unit/hero/elite has a counter. Command certainly can't one shot an tier1 heroes. Even as a spectre he needs a good amount of attack upgrades to one shot them. Queenfestor stun is very strong and provably the hardest unit to counter. A good nix/mando combo, DA, overseer, are all good counters but nothing is perfect. For the undying Archon try using nix, overseer, or corruptor. I gurantee he will die. And as for cheaters, the strong prey on the weak. If someone is falling behind in score everyone flocks to that corner to get ahead. Thats just how the game goes. I hope this helps mate.

It is possible to win with pure merc+rine; you just have to work a lot harder to get money. The advantage of playing army-only is that it's disposable. You can fearlessly take cross-map engagements or run into bases with small groups of units to snipe a compound, eat a savior, or kill reinforcements - as long as you gain enough money to justify the unit loss.

One key is knowing which upgrades to get. If you go pure attack on melee, that's not going to yield good results. If you have maraider with huge splash, you want as much attack as possible, etc. Hero and elite levels greatly simplify this process, at least in the early game.

You also can't just a-move at people who have heros and elites. You need to dodge spells and abilities while knowing when to go for a snipe. You have to scan for DT/festor *before* they can hit your army. You also have to "dance" a lot, which means picking off a few units as people are retreating without losing units yourself in the reverse scenario.

In short, playing pure army is probably more advanced than playing with hero/elite. If you're struggling to find counters, simply try the "OP" hero/elite yourself and watch how people counter you. People have different opinions on what units are a bit stronger than they should be. However, there is no longer anything blatantly OP with zero counters in this game.
