Since there are no workers, the F1 key doesn't do anything.

Yet there are people (like me) who put their cc on control group 1, eating 1 of the control groups.

F2 is army, and I believe F3 is CC
also, pretty sure F4/F5/F6 are heroes (all 3 in the case of HK)

If you really want F1 as CC you could probably rebind it for yourself

If you are not sure after 100+ games, i think my point is proven, that it's not very intuitive , and F1 is just sitting there dooing absolutely nothing.

F1 is way easier to use since it's closer to control group 1, and sometimes you need a quick scan without breaking your finger on the F3 key.

Let's see what other users think before debating the usage of the F3 key instead of F1 or rebinding. It's not about me. It's about the game.

It's fine that F1 may be more natural for you. I'm just used to having CC on 2 for 7 years, so I never considered using anything else.

I know some players do use F3 though (or F2? idk which is which, I don't use either one). I also don't have an army/marines hotkey; I box or ctrl+click stuff.

Also OP 100+ games lol. It's probably 5k+ by now :C

At any rate, doesn't affect me but it may affect people who already use F2/F3.

Edit: also rebinding is pretty simple :C

I see, well there is no reason to remove the F2 or F3 key bind.

But i don't know if it's possible to have 2 keys for the same building, but that would be more of a question for a developer. (works fine in control group)

Edited: Terrible English sentences fixed.

Oh derp, I didn't even consider that :P
If it's possible, it would make sense to have CC on both F1 and whatever it's on now.

Rebinding is not very simple. I once tried to rebind ms cloak to b and it completely screwed up all my other hotkeys in game. You try it yourself, ma does not like rebinds.

I've heard some people saying that re-binding can be a pain, but I havent had any of the lost hotkey issues thus far. Maybe because I've never done it in game before though.

How do I go about re-binding my command center? I've looked through Options>Hotkeys>Global and also looked in Options>Hotkeys>Terran, the latter of which gives me options to change CC action hotkeys, but not the hotkey for the CC itself.

Oh right, I've heard there are a lot of problems with sc2's rebind system. I meant just rebind specific keys, i.e. have F1 = F3 on your keyboard. I guess that could mess you up in ladder or outside of sc2, though I can't think of anything I use F1 for.

You are going to want to rebind anything you rebind in the menus of starcraft, not in game. If you do it in MA, it will fuck everything.

IDK how youd go about rebinding the CC since F1 to select command center is not a defualt binding. Maybe try rebinding what ever F1 is default to to something else and hope in the editor its just attached to that somehow? I dont really know what Im talking about though.

I can tell you once I unbound a key and had to delete the hotkeys folder from starcraft to fix it.

Go to options hotkeys and then click on hero I belive; from there you can bind it to whatever you want. For example I use F2 and F1 as CC; and I know few others that also did it this way.

It's not possible.

The F4 key is defined in the hotkey profile by default (under select hero, and something else).

Yet in MA F4 is linked to the merc compound. So that means everything(hotkeys) defined the MA map take higher priority(precedis?) over the SC2 hotkeys.

So if F1 is defined as worker key in MA, then that will overwrite anything else if it exists in the SC2 hotkeys.

But i can be wrong, because the worker button is there by default, so it might not work the same as the other buttons, but i think it's at least very likely it will :s

Wow he knows so much. Could you please explain a little?

Under hero's it starts from F3, i don't know how to bind F1 there.

I would avoid rebinding hotkeys. They are god-awful to try to fix with non-ladder command card.

Each can bind their own if need be. I split my post into a new thread in this section that shows how an individual can go about doing it themselves.
