Discord is awesome. More people should be using it. Aside from the obvious of having text chat rooms and voice chat rooms, it has friends list, one on one voice calling directly, private messages, it can be by choice notify others if you are playing a game, streaming to twitch or youtube. you can even link said streams in channels. it has in-game overlay so you you don't have to minimize to desktop to do anything. you can be in many servers at once all while thousands can be in any server at once with no lag. you can fine tune notifications so you can be alerted of only what you want to be alerted for such as a user streaming, a user posting, even to your phone while the discord app is not open if you wish. It can be ran a multitude of ways from simply opening it in any web browser or downloading the desktop app or mobile app. it can run on windows, mac, linux.
considering it's literally the best communications app on the market and it's completely free with no ad's of any kind, more people should consider using it.
